Member Solutions Specialist III (Fintech)

Location: 11550 Ent Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO, United States; onsite

Salary: $25–$29 per hour, plus monthly incentives and a 3% annual target bonus

What you will do

• Conduct inbound and outbound collection calls regarding past-due consumer loans and negative share balances.
• Assess members’ financial circumstances, identify hardships, and negotiate payment arrangements and account resolutions.
• Resolve collateral protection insurance and payment posting issues.
• Serve as a team lead and subject matter expert for complex collection questions and escalated member interactions.
• Identify training opportunities and collaborate with coworkers to support departmental goals and positive member experiences.
• Maintain compliance with credit union policies, the Bank Secrecy Act, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of combined customer service, collections, and/or consultative financial experience.
• Professional, diplomatic communication skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations calmly and respectfully.
• Knowledge of collection techniques, financial products, negotiation, basic mathematics, loan interest calculations, and transactional processes.
• Working knowledge of collection law, bankruptcy law, credit reporting, FDCPA, CFPB requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based transactional systems; 10-key by touch is preferred.
