Director, Product Planning (Crypto)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid collaboration with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month to work in the office.

Annual base salary: $248,000–$310,000 USD for positions based in California; equity, bonuses, and commissions are additional.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end planning process for strategic priorities, resource allocation, sequencing, and roadmaps across product lines.
• Facilitate prioritization and tradeoff discussions among product leaders, identifying conflicts and dependencies before they block execution.
• Manage the product organization’s operating rhythm, including planning cycles, launch readiness reviews, cross-team syncs, and retrospectives.
• Maintain planning tools and systems such as Jira, Linear, and Notion as a reliable single source of truth.
• Partner with Data Science to synthesize metrics into recurring reports, recommendations, and leadership talking points.
• Lead cross-organizational initiatives and represent product planning in discussions with engineering, build, legal/compliance, and finance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product operations, technical program management, chief-of-staff work, or a similar cross-functional planning role.
• Demonstrated experience running planning and prioritization processes across multiple teams or product lines.
• Ability to work with metrics, ask effective questions of Data Science, and turn analytical output into a clear narrative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity into actionable leadership updates.
• Highly organized, low-ego approach and motivation to make cross-functional work more coherent.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco, California hybrid setup, including 10+ office days per month as determined by the team.
