Phlebotomist

Location: Ramona, California, United States, with additional listed locations in Vista, Laguna Hills, Palm Springs, San Diego, and Encinitas. Work is performed at a patient service center or client office, with travel to additional sites when needed.

Pay range: $23.00–$33.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for a quarterly performance-based incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data, process billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional sites and work occasional overtime or rotating weekends when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid California state-issued phlebotomy license required; an application filed with the California Department of Health at the time of hire may be accepted instead.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven customer service record.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to attend two weeks of training in California.

Nice to have

• At least one month of phlebotomy experience.
• Current or prior experience with hirify.global.
