Account Executive Officer/Senior Underwriter, National Property

Location: CT - Hartford, United States

Annual base salary: $120,400–$198,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of national property business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts while aligning decisions with risk appetite and profitability goals.
• Occasionally negotiate and procure reinsurance for complex accounts and support foreign admitted policy placement.
• Build relationships with agents, brokers, and internal partners to develop sales plans, cross-selling opportunities, and new business.
• Meet agents and brokers in person, travel to business meetings, and market hirify.global products.
• Develop agency and regional sales plans and support the training and mentoring of less experienced Account Executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Four years of experience in underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial work, sales, product, or finance.
• Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience, including experience in National Property.
• Deep knowledge of property products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong financial acumen, critical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
• CPCU designation.
