Specification Data Management Specialist (China)

Location: Nijmegen or Amsterdam, Netherlands; minimum three days per week in the office, including at least one day in Nijmegen. Working hours include an early start to maximize overlap with the Chinese time zone.

What you will do

• Maintain specification data and ensure it meets requirements for PLM and downstream systems.
• Manage complex specification workflows from end to end, ensuring accuracy and regulatory and commercial compliance.
• Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and drive timely approvals.
• Implement internal and external specification change requests.
• Support data reporting, analysis, correction, troubleshooting, and R&D system support.
• Collaborate with international counterparts on system governance, efficiency, and consistency.

Requirements

• English and Chinese communication skills required.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in specification management, product development, or quality systems within the food, beverage, or CPG industry.
• Proficiency with specification databases, PLM systems, and ERP tools.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience executing projects and delivering results in cross-functional teams.
