Senior Software Engineer - Treasury (Fintech)

Salary: US employees — Senior I: $166,600–$208,300 USD; Senior II: $200,700–$250,900 USD. Canadian employees — Senior I: $157,400–$196,800 CAD; Senior II: $189,700–$237,100 CAD.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact, customer-facing projects across Treasury engineering, operations, compliance, banking, and risk.
• Define the technical architecture and product experience for Treasury.
• Build end-to-end onboarding, portfolio recommendation, dashboard, and internal tooling experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver features for customers and internal users.
• Own product outcomes and contribute to the evolution of Mercury’s Treasury platform.
• Work with engineers managing billions of dollars in customer assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating backend systems connected to customer-facing experiences.
• Track record of serving as technical lead for complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Product-minded approach, including consideration for API consumers and customer experience.
• Domain knowledge as a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer supporting equities, fixed income, and mutual funds.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across functions, and mentor engineers.
