GNC Engineer I (Aerospace)

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States. This role involves prolonged computer work and occasional exposure to production-area noise, dust, and fumes.

Base salary: $81,000–$102,000 USD annually, plus potential stock, incentives, and employee benefits.

What you will do

• Develop launch and mission operational concepts, orbital and suborbital trajectories, and mission analyses.
• Support GNC proposals, mission definition, requirements engineering, and customer design reviews.
• Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and hardware-in-the-loop testing to verify trajectories, GNC, and flight-code performance.
• Develop and support flight code for ground testing, launch, and mission operations.
• Build tools and processes to automate GNC modeling and analysis tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, business development, customers, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Understanding of orbital mechanics and/or closed-loop control systems, preferably for launch vehicles.
• Experience with trajectory optimization and real-time control or estimation algorithms for autonomous vehicles.
• Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one is required.
• For US offices, candidates must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including US citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or required government authorization.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with requirements assessment, interface control documents, Git, Python, MATLAB, SciPy, C/C++, or mission-analysis tools such as POST, ASTOS, and TAOS.
• At least one year of experience in dynamic-systems modeling, simulation, control, or data analysis.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, planning, and independent-work skills.
