D365 Project Operations Specialist (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

Location: Predominantly remote within the United Kingdom, with occasional travel to the client's York office

Salary: £500–£900 per day, Outside IR35 contract

hirify.global is a Microsoft technology recruitment company working with a digital transformation consultancy on a Dynamics 365 and Power Platform improvement programme.

What you will do

• Assess the existing Dynamics 365 Project Operations platform through a technical health check and discovery phase.
• Review solutions, customisations, integrations, automations, security configurations, environments, dependencies, and solution layering.
• Identify technical risks and recommend whether components should be remediated, rebuilt, or reimplemented.
• Develop a prioritised remediation roadmap with effort estimates, risks, and dependencies.
• Establish Dataverse ALM, environment management, and controlled deployment practices using Azure DevOps or Power Platform Pipelines.
• Support platform remediation, optimisation, documentation, knowledge sharing, and internal Power Platform capability development.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations across multiple implementations.
• Proven experience assessing, recovering, or remediating existing or underperforming D365 implementations.
• Strong practical knowledge of Dataverse, ALM, managed and unmanaged solutions, solution layering, dependencies, and environment strategies.
• Experience establishing governed deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or Power Platform Pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Project Operations commercial processes, including contracts, price lists, resource management, time and expenses, actuals, and invoicing.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective process designs, communicate with non-technical stakeholders, and coach internal technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI Service, SQL, Power Automate, and the wider Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience coaching or mentoring internal delivery teams.
• Consultancy or client-facing experience and strong documentation skills.
