Senior Technical Writer (AI)

What you will do

• Create and maintain API documentation, developer guides, reference documentation, and release notes for different audiences.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, documentation writers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
• Research product functionality, analyze specifications, test software, and use CLI tools to validate and document features.
• Maintain documentation through updates, revisions, reviews, deprecations, and version control with Git.
• Contribute to documentation planning, project management, product discussions, and documentation standards.
• Own documentation strategy for a product area by prioritizing content based on user behavior, support data, adoption, and unmet use cases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical writing experience in a software development environment.
• Expertise in software documentation, including API documentation and developer guides.
• Understanding of API testing and proficiency with Command Line Interface tools.
• Solid experience with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Ability to research and synthesize complex technical information, communicate clearly, and maintain high accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in AI.
• Experience treating documentation as a product and prioritizing work based on user impact and adoption.
