Medical Assistant - Primary Care Full Time Days

Location: 259 E. Erie, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite, full-time day shift

Salary: USD 19.13–25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical staff while maintaining efficient patient flow.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and report significant symptoms or changes.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, medications, and vaccines.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while supporting patient satisfaction and clinic operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility to take an approved certification examination.
• Certification as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA must be obtained within the first six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
