Experienced M&A Associate - Technology (SF) (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; office-based role with willingness to relocate to the designated office and travel up to 20%

Base salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus performance-based incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Execute technology-sector M&A and private capital advisory engagements.
• Perform complex financial analysis, financial modeling, and valuation work.
• Lead analytical workstreams and oversee junior team members during live deal execution and business development.
• Identify trends in data and communicate their implications to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with analysts, delegate work effectively, and provide real-time performance feedback.
• Participate in recruiting, junior banker training, marketing, diversity, and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity; one or more years as a sell-side M&A Associate is strongly preferred.
• Strong quantitative analysis, financial modeling, valuation, problem-solving, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to work in and relocate to the San Francisco office.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Acquire SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses within 90 days of hire.
