Solution Engineer (Robotics): Bringing the NOVA robotics platform to life by designing, implementing, commissioning, and supporting industrial robot applications with an accent on customer projects, solution architecture, and technical enablement. Focus on connecting robot cells, solving technical issues across SDKs and APIs, training customers and partners, and translating field insights into product improvements.

Location: Dresden, Germany; about two-thirds of the time is spent on the Dresden shopfloor, especially during the first six months. Regular travel to customer sites is required.

Company

hirify.global develops NOVA, a software platform for programming, simulating, and operating industrial robots across different brands.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and commission robotic applications built on NOVA, from simulation through deployment in real robot cells.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers after go-live, providing support and further development.
  • Guide customers and integration partners through solution architecture, technical questions, and on-site or remote troubleshooting.
  • Run customer and partner trainings, workshops, and onboarding sessions.
  • Create example applications, templates, best practices, and product documentation.
  • Translate field feedback into product improvements and help diagnose issues around NOVA, its SDKs, and APIs.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as an automation, robotics, or application engineer, ideally in customer-facing projects.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots such as KUKA, ABB, FANUC, Universal Robots, or Yaskawa, including applications like handling, palletizing, or machine tending.
  • Programming experience, ideally with Python, and knowledge of industrial communication including TCP/IP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or OPC UA.
  • Curiosity about AI and practical use of AI for development or robotic applications.
  • Fluent German at C1 level or higher and fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Based in Dresden or willing to move or commute to Dresden; a driving license and regular travel to customer sites are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with simulation, especially NVIDIA Omniverse or Isaac Sim.
  • Experience with TypeScript, C++, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, or GitHub.
  • Experience with ROS, machine vision, or AI-based robotic applications.
  • Background at a system integrator or in technical consulting or presales.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on a deep-tech robotics product with cross-functional and international collaboration.
  • Knowledge sharing, regular feedback, and a value-driven working environment.
  • Up to three days of volunteer time off, plus training and mental health opportunities.
  • Free lunch, snacks, drinks, and team events.
  • 30 days of annual vacation plus additional rest during the Christmas season until New Year.
  • Full payment of usual earnings when caring for a sick child.
