AVP, Chief of Staff to the CTO (Financial Services)

Annual base salary: $191,850–$239,810 USD

What you will do

• Partner with the CTO and technology leadership to align the technology roadmap with enterprise business goals.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams.
• Analyze technology performance data, delivery metrics, financial information, and industry trends to support executive decisions.
• Oversee budgeting, fiscal management, resource allocation, vendor spend, and capital expenditure across technology operations.
• Prepare executive reports, presentations, and communications for the CTO, board, and stakeholders.
• Own the CTO’s operating cadence, including leadership meetings, all-hands meetings, QBRs, offsites, action items, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of leadership or management experience, preferably in technology, financial services, or a related industry.
• Experience as a Chief of Staff or within engineering, IT, product, or another technology organization is strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Advanced proficiency in project management tools and financial or budget analysis.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience working closely with executive leadership or in a Chief of Staff capacity.
• Understanding of emerging technology, AI, automation, regulatory, and security considerations in financial services.
