Engineer II (.NET)

What you will do

• Build and maintain integration features, RESTful APIs, shared libraries, and event-driven asynchronous services.
• Enhance integration logic across modern .NET services and established .NET Framework monolithic applications.
• Design, test, deploy, and support solutions through the full software development lifecycle, including production and on-call support.
• Contribute to API standards, enterprise integration platform architecture, versioning, contracts, and deprecation practices.
• Identify reusable integration patterns, risks, blockers, and design gaps.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, design discussions, and onboarding Engineer I colleagues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production features independently.
• Strong expertise in C#, the .NET ecosystem, and significant experience with .NET Framework codebases.
• Experience developing or supporting production APIs, integration features, and large established codebases.
• Experience with Git, Docker, automated testing, scripting languages, unit tests, and integration tests.
• Daily hands-on use of AI coding harnesses such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, or similar, with an understanding of model-and-harness agents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Azure deployment and operations experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, enterprise messaging, event streaming, or asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, API gateways, API lifecycle management, and acceptance or end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with VB.NET, Playwright, third-party integrations, or financial services environments.
• Advanced understanding of AI harness mechanics, including memory, tool calls, and hooks.
