Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Hybrid workplace model with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office.

Salary: CAD 90,000–100,000 per year, plus incentive pay.

What you will do

• Secure cloud, SaaS, AI, and data ecosystems by implementing and improving enterprise security controls.
• Conduct SaaS security assessments and reviews of cloud and third-party platforms.
• Implement DLP, DSPM, encryption, access control, data classification, and governance integrations.
• Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for cloud services, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Use Terraform, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code to improve security control deployment and consistency.
• Support cloud and SaaS incident response, threat investigations, remediation, and attack-path reduction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity, information security, or security engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• 3+ years of cloud security engineering experience across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and SaaS platforms.
• Experience with cloud and SaaS security posture management, Wiz, Falcon Shield SSPM, DSPM, CASB, and DLP.
• Strong knowledge of attack path analysis, threat modeling, cloud identity security, privilege risk management, and containment strategies.
• Experience securing AI capabilities, cloud-native applications, containers, Kubernetes, and modern application architectures.
• Experience with Terraform, scripting, Infrastructure-as-Code, and security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CSA, SOC 1/2, GDPR, DORA, and SOX.
