Principal Threat Architect (AI Security)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Research AI-era threats, including prompt injection, model misuse, data leakage, and threats to AI systems.
• Design scalable detection-and-response architecture integrated with security tooling, data pipelines, and analyst workflows.
• Build and validate prototypes for novel defensive approaches and convert research into production-ready specifications.
• Partner with detection engineering, data science, and platform teams to transition prototypes into durable capabilities.
• Lead core technical design decisions and communicate complex research and architecture to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with depth in threat detection and response.
• Experience designing and delivering complex, scalable technical systems from concept through production.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, AI-specific threats, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience in research, R&D, or emerging technologies, with the ability to turn ambiguous problems into concrete specifications.
• Production programming experience, such as Python, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in computer science, machine learning, or security.
• AI/ML security, adversarial ML, GenAI security, or AI-enabled attack defense experience.
• Experience with EDR, XDR, MDR, SIEM, SOAR, agentic SOC architectures, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with C/C++, Rust, cloud security, hybrid or multi-cloud environments, or security research publications and patents.
