Incident Response Consultant (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

Cybersecurity company developing an AI-native platform to protect organizations from advanced attacks and process large-scale security data.

What you will do

• Contribute as a technical consultant on incident response engagements.
• Develop and apply methods to hunt for threat actors across large datasets.
• Conduct intrusion investigations under project leadership and outside counsel.
• Perform host- and network-based forensic analysis across Windows, Mac, and Linux.
• Prepare written and verbal reports, presentations, findings, and recommendations for customer management, regulators, and legal counsel.

Requirements

• Experience with incident response investigations involving targeted threats such as nation-state actors, e-crime, or hacktivists.
• Knowledge of computer forensic analysis and forensic tools used to determine the scope of compromise.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools such as Bro/Zeek or Suricata, and related network logs.
• Knowledge of static and dynamic malware analysis, incident remediation, secure network architecture, or network operations.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP incident response methodologies.
• Strong communication skills for presenting executive- and technical-level findings, plus experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making and workflows.

• Motivation to expand technical and soft skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information security, cybersecurity, or a related discipline; relevant experience or training may substitute for a degree.
