Sr. Solutions Architect III (6874)

Location: Washington, DC; must reside within commuting distance of the customer site. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and verify employment eligibility upon hire.

Salary: $175,000–$265,000 per year, plus potential performance-based bonuses and other incentives.

What you will do

• Design comprehensive technical solutions that translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure application architectures.
• Evaluate and optimize solution architectures for performance, security, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
• Architect integrated cloud-native, microservices-based, search, analytics, and real-time data solutions with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and development teams.
• Lead application modernization initiatives, including monolith decomposition, legacy platform decommissioning, and migration to service-oriented or microservices architectures.
• Support business development, solution portfolio expansion, and enterprise growth planning.
• Present architectures to senior government executives and provide technical advisory services.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability clearance.
• Residence within commuting distance of the Washington, DC customer site.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, DevSecOps, AI/ML engineering, and technical architecture, including 3 years deploying enterprise AI/ML cloud applications on AWS.
• Experience with AWS architecture, microservices, event-driven architectures, Amazon OpenSearch or Elastic Stack, Databricks, and Kafka or other message brokers.
• Ability to translate business requirements into enterprise architectures and guide cross-functional implementation teams.

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification, or the ability to obtain it.
