What you will do

• Configure and customize Appian Design System components, global themes, branding settings, CSS Profiles, and styling assets.
• Translate Figma specifications into reusable Appian SAIL components, interface objects, wrappers, design tokens, and component libraries.
• Design and implement complex UI patterns, dashboards, grids, forms, and charting solutions.
• Ensure visual consistency with approved designs through UI testing, quality assurance, and accessibility reviews.
• Create technical and user-facing documentation and identify platform limitations, implementation gaps, and workarounds.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, business stakeholders, and application teams during design reviews, knowledge transfer, and solution handovers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Appian platform development.
• Strong expertise in Appian SAIL interface design, Appian Sites, Themes, Branding, Design Systems, Records, Process Models, Expressions, and Rules.
• Experience with reusable component architecture, custom interface objects, wrapper components, deployments, environment setup, and platform configuration.
• Proficiency in CSS and UI customization within Appian, with the ability to implement designs from Figma.
• Understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and experience with UI testing and quality assurance.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English level required.

Nice to have

• Appian Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification.
• Experience building enterprise-wide design systems and managing design tokens.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles, responsive design, dashboards, analytics views, and advanced data visualizations.
• Experience integrating Appian applications with external systems and APIs.
• Background in financial services, banking, or enterprise digital transformation programs.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and advanced CSS customization.
