What you will do

• Define and refine the journal’s scope, priorities, and special issues.
• Recruit and lead a diverse editorial board.
• Oversee peer-review processes, manuscript evaluations, and decision timelines.
• Uphold rigorous methodological, reproducibility, ethical, and integrity standards.
• Build relationships with global research communities, industry, and policy stakeholders.
• Champion open science, artifact evaluation, and responsible AI practices.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Information Science with a strong computer science emphasis, or a related field.
• Extensive publication record in top-tier computer science venues.
• Senior editorial experience as an Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor, Associate Editor, Program Chair, or in a similar role.
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams and deliver timely decisions.
• Expertise across multiple computer science domains and demonstrated interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong communication, leadership, conflict-resolution, reproducibility, open science, and responsible computing skills.

Nice to have

• Expertise in two or more areas including theoretical computer science and algorithms, software engineering and programming languages, systems and networks, artificial intelligence and data science, HCI, security, privacy and cryptography, or emerging computing paradigms.
