Commissioning Editor - Collections Management and Acquisition (Academic Publishing)

What you will do

• Plan and implement commissioning strategies for key hirify.global journals.
• Identify collection topics through market share, competitor, and other data analysis.
• Recruit and engage guest editors and potential authors for topical collections.
• Manage collection pipelines against publication targets and improve workflows.
• Develop best practices across the collections lifecycle and build relationships with editorial communities.
• Coordinate with marketing teams to promote collections and reach external research communities.

Requirements

• Planning, organizational, data analysis, and reporting skills.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, with adaptability and resilience.
• Creative mindset with the ability to develop new approaches.

Nice to have

• Awareness of research ethics and open access publishing.
• Ability to query data directly.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Experience in scholarly or academic publishing.
