Mill Technician (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Brighouse, United Kingdom; onsite mill operation

Salary: £31,000–£35,000 per year plus benefits

Food manufacturing business operating a growing milling operation.

What you will do

• Operate and optimize milling equipment to achieve production targets.
• Monitor flour quality and ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Make process adjustments and take ownership of mill performance.
• Support raw material intake, finished product dispatch, and accurate production and stock records.
• Complete operational, hygiene, safety, HACCP, CCP, and food safety checks.
• Identify faults, minimize downtime, support planned maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in flour milling or a similar process manufacturing environment.
• Ability to run the mill independently and make operational decisions.
• Strong operational, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of food safety, quality, and HACCP requirements.
• Good organizational, attention-to-detail, and IT skills, including production systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to work shifts when the operation moves to a shift-based pattern.
