Senior Data Steward (Data Governance)

What you will do

• Manage metadata requests and maintain data documentation and catalog information.
• Act as a business and governance analyst for data-related initiatives.
• Define and document data ownership and accountability with data owners and business stakeholders.
• Apply data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
• Identify data issues, coordinate their resolution, and support data-related requests.
• Profile datasets and create basic data quality checks and controls.

Requirements

• Experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data management.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, metadata management, data quality, ownership, lifecycle management, data contracts, and governance policies.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including ingestion and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience or familiarity with Databricks and basic knowledge of Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced English required.

• Experience with data catalog and metadata management tools.
• Experience implementing or supporting data quality initiatives.
• Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and governance solutions.
• Experience in global and cross-functional environments.
