Senior Capacity Development Officer (E-Learning and Agricultural Information)

What you will do

• Lead the hirify.global e-learning Academy team in designing, developing, and delivering specialized self-paced e-learning courses.
• Manage capacity development, e-learning, webinars, online learning events, and blended learning programmes with technical units, decentralized offices, and external partners.
• Develop policies, strategies, models, and evidence-based approaches for adult learning, knowledge sharing, and innovative learning technologies.
• Provide guidance for agricultural knowledge systems and services, including AGRIS, AGORA, and AGROVOC.
• Build partnerships with universities, research institutions, professional associations, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage extra-budgetary projects, budgets, workplans, learning management systems, and specialized e-learning software.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in education, information technology, communication, agricultural sciences, social sciences, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in capacity development, including e-learning and/or ICT for development.
• Working proficiency in English and intermediate knowledge of another official hirify.global language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.
• Experience in capacity development, adult learning, e-learning, learning technologies, and computer applications for learning and knowledge exchange.
• Experience in programme or project formulation, fundraising, partnership development, and management of multi-stakeholder platforms.
• Experience working in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions, is essential.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in an additional official hirify.global language at level C.
• Experience developing or delivering multilingual e-learning courses related to food, agriculture, environmental sciences, or related social sciences.
