Software Engineer, Connectivity (SW)

hirify.global develops industrial automation and flow control solutions, including the hirify.global DNAe distributed control system.

What you will do

• Develop automation connectivity solutions for the hirify.global DNAe distributed control system.
• Work with external protocols connecting hirify.global DNAe systems to third-party systems and devices.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the link framework middleware solution.
• Write clean, maintainable software designed for long-term reliability.
• Collaborate independently and across a cross-functional R&D team using modern agile methods.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with C++.
• Experience in automation environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of automation protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, IEC 60870-5, or IEC 61850 is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of robust unit testing, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English skills are required; Finnish is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, or JIRA.
• Previous experience in automation environments.
• Finnish language skills.
