TL;DR
Senior Data Engineer (AWS/Spark): Building and operating high-volume data integration and ETL pipelines with an accent on speed, data quality, and production stability. Focus on developing Python and Spark-based workflows with AWS Glue, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL while responding promptly to production issues.

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; hybrid onsite. Local candidates or candidates willing to travel to the onsite interview are required.

Salary: $75–$80 per hour

What you will do

  • Build data integration and ETL pipelines for transforming large volumes of data.
  • Optimize pipeline speed, reliability, and data quality.
  • Manage applications and data engineering workflows.
  • Respond promptly to production issues and support stable operations.
  • Develop APIs when needed.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in data engineering.
  • Experience with Python, Apache Spark, SQL, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Experience with AWS Glue and Apache Airflow.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid onsite arrangement in McLean, Virginia.
  • Availability for a one-round onsite interview; local candidates or candidates willing to travel only.
  • W-2 employment only; C2C is not accepted.
