Senior Software Developer (Kubernetes)

Location: San Jose, CA, USA

Compensation range: $234,840–$436,080 USD total target compensation, including base pay and performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test significant hirify.global Kasten features for backing up and recovering Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems.
• Expand internal developer tools and improve the efficiency of sprint-based product releases.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones and regions.
• Prepare technical documentation and specifications.
• Mentor engineers, support product initiatives, and share responsibility for maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions in a high-level programming language such as Go, C++, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems concepts and client-server architectures.
• Expertise in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, multithreaded, and concurrent systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and other computer science fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience developing in Go.
• Experience with containers, container schedulers, and orchestration platforms.
• Experience with databases or storage systems, especially in public cloud environments.
• Experience developing for amd64, arm64, ppc64le, or other architectures.
