What you will do

• Design and maintain cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
• Automate cloud resource deployment using DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and security scanning.
• Assess application cloud readiness and define migration, refactoring, and deployment strategies across public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Design cloud-native applications and migrate on-premises workloads to cloud platforms.
• Implement high availability, failure recovery, business continuity, disaster recovery, monitoring, and resilient architectures.
• Drive cloud cost optimization through right-sizing, licensing analysis, usage monitoring, and service comparisons.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience with major cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google.
• Experience developing and deploying solutions in private or public cloud environments or comparable high-availability environments.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience creating technical architecture and configuration documentation.
• Must work full-time on-site at the customer location in Washington, DC and hold an active Top Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, containers, serverless architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, ELK, or OpenSearch.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost-management tools.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud architecture certification.
