Backend Platform Engineer (Python/FastAPI)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina; hybrid work model

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services with FastAPI.
• Integrate the platform with agentic AI services and maintain infrastructure for AI models and agents.
• Build and manage MCP servers throughout their full lifecycle.
• Maintain observability for agentic models and platform services.
• Design and operate relational and non-relational databases.
• Apply authentication and security practices while collaborating across frontend, backend, and AI teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Python and strong knowledge of its best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, cloud platforms, and platform teams.
• Knowledge of agentic model platforms, observability, MCP development, and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating agentic AI services; familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Availability for hybrid work in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
