Valve Design Engineer (Reciprocating Compressors)

Location: Painted Post, New York, United States; office/site only

Salary: $66,248–$80,000 per year for positions based in New York

What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations and select materials for valve components.
• Review drawings and design documentation for accuracy and compliance with engineering and drafting practices.
• Update valve product designs to meet manufacturing, assembly, cost, and lead-time requirements.
• Support customer orders, valve upgrades, and modernization projects for reciprocating compressor services.
• Provide technical engineering support to manufacturing, supply chain, and customer technical support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least two years of engineering experience; reciprocating gas compressor or oil and gas experience is preferred.
• Experience with mechanical product design, CAD, and engineering calculations.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and oil and gas industry standards.
• Experience with SAP and product lifecycle management systems.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
