Senior SAP Basis Engineer (SAP HANA)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and operate complex SAP landscapes across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Administer production SAP HANA databases and operate S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other NetWeaver systems.
• Perform SAP upgrades, EHP/SP application, system conversions, system copies, and cloud migrations to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
• Manage SAP transports and Solution Manager ChaRM while collaborating with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams.
• Maintain SAP platform availability, security, compliance, documentation, and operational stability.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is required; eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 12 or more years of SAP Basis or platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on production experience with SAP HANA, SAP migrations, upgrades, conversions, and HA/DR strategies.
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
• Experience with SAP RISE/Grow, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP, or hyperscaler-native integrations.
• Exposure to infrastructure as code using Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience operating regulated SAP workloads under SOX, GxP, or PCI requirements.
