Additive Manufacturing Technician I

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States; A Shift follows a 4-10 schedule starting in November.

Hourly pay range: $23.46–$29.33 USD.

What you will do

• Prepare and operate metal 3D printers using LPBF, DED, and hybrid additive manufacturing technologies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, optical laser, electrical, and build issues across additive processes.
• Calibrate printers, interpret findings with Engineering, and verify build and part conformance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, post-print inspections, and post-processing inspections using precision measurement tools.
• Collaborate with Engineers on print setups, new hardware, process improvements, and non-conformance resolution.
• Maintain additive manufacturing safety and 5S practices while following work orders, procedures, specifications, and test instructions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing.
• Proficiency with hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including drills, chisels, and taps.
• Experience with inspection tools and methods such as surface plates, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Experience operating machine tools or equipment such as vertical mills, lathes, media blasters, cranes, or forklifts.
• High school diploma or GED, with the ability to stand, walk, climb, work in confined or elevated spaces, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• For work in U.S. offices, eligibility under U.S. ITAR export regulations is required, including qualifying U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee or asylum status, or applicable authorization.
