Field Service Technician – Mechanical

Location: Bologna, Italy; on-site customer interventions in Italy and internationally, with medium- and long-term travel assignments rarely exceeding 40 consecutive days.

Base salary: €30,000–€43,000 per year, plus an annual production bonus.

What you will do

• Install, commission, test, and start up mechanical and mechatronic systems, machinery, and equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance on industrial equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Assemble, disassemble, align, adjust, and service mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct inspections, measurements, functional tests, and acceptance activities while maintaining service reports and technical records.
• Act as the technical interface for customers, subcontractors, and on-site personnel, providing user training and collaborating with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical systems, with hands-on installation experience.
• Ability to independently interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical support, field service, or a related technical role.
• English at B1 level or higher required.
• Availability for travel in Italy, Europe, and internationally, and flexibility to work one or two shifts when required.
