Mechatronics & Commissioning Engineer (Junior) (Semiconductor)

Location: Treviso, Italy; workplace in Olmi di San Biagio di Callalta, Italy. International travel for training, installations, and customer-site commissioning is required approximately 25% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: €25,000–€46,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support full system integration through final installation while meeting technical specifications, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
• Perform functional, operational, and system-level testing, including calibration, verification, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, optical, process, system, and component-level issues using schematics and technical documentation.
• Execute in-house Customer Acceptance Tests and support validation, installation, start-up, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and NPI teams to develop, build, and test prototype, alpha, and beta systems.
• Prepare test reports, logbooks, procedures, quality notifications, and corrective actions while supporting continuous process improvement and safety compliance.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience and a strong technical foundation.
• Ability to develop hands-on expertise in system integration, testing, and commissioning within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for atypical or infrequent technical issues.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Availability to work at the Italy workplace and travel internationally for training and installations.
