Cyber Security Analyst

Location: Fully remote

Starting compensation: $50,000 per year

Company

Managed cybersecurity services supporting service consumers through security monitoring, incident response, and alert management.

What you will do

• Perform initial response for security incidents generated by managed services tooling.
• Classify security incidents into MITRE categories.
• Distinguish true positive and false positive security alerts.
• Escalate incidents indicating a significant compromise for further scoping.
• Participate in additional managed service activities as requested.
• Maintain documentation for alert-handling processes.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• CompTIA CySA+ certification.
• At least 1 year of SOC experience.
• Ability to sit, stand, and bend during the shift; occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds may be required.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or computer science.
• At least 1 year of ServiceNow experience.
• At least 2 years of managed service provider experience.
• Microsoft SC-200, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA A+ certification.
