iOS Engineer

hirify.global is a fast-growing international startup building mobile applications for transportation partners and their users.

What you will do

• Design and implement new features for the iOS application from technical design through release and production monitoring.
• Maintain and improve the mature application by addressing bugs, technical debt, performance, and reliability.
• Modularize the iOS codebase by defining module boundaries, dependencies, and interfaces for independently evolving partner applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable Swift code using SwiftUI and UIKit, supported by automated testing and CI/CD.
• Monitor production issues, contribute to incident response and postmortems, and build accessibility, security, privacy, and data protection into everyday development.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, Android engineers, and backend engineers while improving engineering practices through reviews, documentation, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional iOS development experience or equivalent practical expertise.
• Strong Swift skills and hands-on experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, iOS architecture, modularization, and dependency management.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, App Store release processes, application lifecycle, performance, concurrency, and networking.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and understanding client-server interactions.
• Awareness of mobile security, privacy, and data protection principles.
• Excellent English communication skills, along with proactive collaboration, ownership, and knowledge sharing.

Nice to have

• Android development experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Backend development experience and interest in contributing to end-to-end features.
• Experience modularizing large mature mobile codebases used by multiple applications.
• Experience with large-scale consumer applications, observability, performance monitoring, incident investigation, mobile CI/CD, or accessible mobile applications.

Hiring process

• Approximately 45-minute screening interview with the People Team.
• 90-minute technical screening and problem-solving interview.
• 120-minute product, system, and software design interview.
