Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: In-person at the NYC HQ in Union Square, New York City

Salary: $175K–$300K annually, plus equity

hirify.global is an AI video company building multimodal agents, generative video models, rendering engines, and APIs for AI-powered video creation and editing.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure end-to-end.
• Solve complex distributed systems, scaling, concurrency, and performance challenges.
• Deploy, serve, and scale large generative AI models in production.
• Partner with product, design, client, and AI teams to deliver reliable production systems.
• Instrument systems, run experiments, and improve product and system quality in production.
• Operate platform infrastructure, including third-party integrations, storage, security, and internal APIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional industry experience.
• Experience shipping high-impact systems or products to production.
• Strong problem-solving fundamentals and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong engineering judgment, practicality, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver projects end-to-end.
• Senior or staff-plus scope of experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs and generative media models.
• Startup founder or early-engineer experience.
