Market Development Consultant (PR & Communications)

Location: Peterborough, United Kingdom; onsite at the Peterborough facility five days per week. The role may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Salary: Starting from £66,079 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead global media relations and content strategy for Cat Industrial Engines and Perkins.
• Build relationships with trade media and coordinate editorial content with subject matter experts and executives.
• Develop media, content, and communications plans supporting campaigns, product launches, business priorities, and brand reputation.
• Create media materials including pitches, press releases, statements, FAQs, briefings, fact sheets, media advisories, and bylined articles.
• Prepare and coach executives for media interviews, anticipate communications risks, and provide feedback.
• Manage external suppliers, maintain content calendars, and track and report media performance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in communications, marketing, or media relations.
• Experience working with trade media and executive communications.
• Strong copywriting, editing, advanced writing, and effective communications skills.
• Experience building relationships with internal stakeholders, media, vendors, and external partners.
• Experience with vendor or supplier management and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work onsite at the Peterborough facility five days per week.
