Software Engineer (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid office arrangement with at least 3 days per week in the office and an initial full-time onboarding period at the headquarters near London Bridge

hirify.global is building a technology-first clinical trial infrastructure platform to help develop clinical-stage treatments and bring new medicines to patients faster.

What you will do

• Build and deliver features for Citrus, the clinical trial delivery platform.
• Work across frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure using the company’s core technology stack.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, non-technical colleagues, and users to shape product solutions.
• Support production systems at scale, investigate user issues, and fix bugs.
• Observe the product in real clinical trials and respond to feature requests.
• Contribute to product development processes, retrospectives, standups, and technical design.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience working in a team.
• Product-minded approach and ability to understand user and business problems.
• Comfort working across TypeScript, React, Python, Node, Postgres, AWS, and related infrastructure technologies, or willingness to learn them.
• Experience supporting systems in production at scale.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
• Interest in clinical trials, healthcare innovation, and using AI to improve engineering work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, relational databases, or Claude Code.
• Experience working in a high-growth, mission-driven startup.

Hiring process

• Initial conversation with the Head of Talent.
• 60-minute take-home coding task in Python or TypeScript, followed by a functional interview with engineering.
• Values interview with the CEO and CPTO, with at least one interview held in person at the London office.
