Staff / Senior Software Engineer (Relocation - UK)

Location: In-person in Cambridge, United Kingdom four days a week; optional remote working on Wednesdays and 10 additional remote days per year. Relocation to the UK is available for candidates with full existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What you will do

• Build new full-stack product features with a frontend focus.
• Design non-functional application capabilities such as offline support and improved observability.
• Contribute to technical roadmap planning and iterate on product requirements with product and UX teams.
• Participate in bug triage, diagnosis, and incident investigations.
• Improve application test coverage across a wide range of user devices and browsers.
• Use data to guide application changes and collaborate with engineering, UX, and leadership.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills, ideally in TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with full-stack web development and user-focused product development.
• Ability to take ownership, show initiative, and communicate clearly.
• For more experienced hires: experience building and scaling consumer-facing production web applications.
• For more experienced hires: experience developing and testing frontends for multiple devices and browsers, maintaining applications over time, and mentoring engineers.
• Full existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• iOS or Android application development experience.
• Experience with software medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Startup experience.
• UI design experience, such as Figma.
• Video streaming or real-time technology experience.
