Bid Manager (Defense)

What you will do

• Lead the full bid lifecycle from initial qualification through contract award.
• Develop bid strategies with Sales, Engineering, Legal, and Finance.
• Analyze RFPs and ITTs and ensure proposals meet customer requirements.
• Prepare clear, consistent, technically accurate proposals.
• Manage bid budgets, timelines, reviews, and risks.
• Support commercial negotiations, market intelligence, and continuous improvement of bid processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of bid, proposal, or project management experience in defense, aerospace, or complex technology.
• Demonstrated success leading and winning complex, high-value bids.
• Knowledge of government procurement processes and contractual frameworks.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, travel domestically and internationally, and use MS Office and bid management software.

Hiring process

• Security clearance by the Danish Defence Intelligence Service is required.
• Candidates must have resided within NATO or the EU for at least the last seven years.
