TL;DR
Technology Lead / Architect (AI): Owning the technical direction and architecture of AI-powered marketplace products from experimentation through production with an accent on Java backend engineering, GCP serverless infrastructure, and microservices integration. Focus on designing reliable and secure cloud services, building core components hands-on, and guiding engineers while balancing rapid AI experimentation with production quality.
Location: LATAM; workplace options include hybrid and 100% remote work.

What you will do
- Own the technical direction and architecture of marketplace products from early experiments through production.
- Write code, review pull requests, and build core components alongside the engineering team.
- Design services on GCP serverless infrastructure, including Cloud Run and managed services.
- Integrate new products with microservices ecosystems and existing monolithic systems.
- Guide engineers of mixed seniority and establish technical standards and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product Management and UX to build testable products and AI-powered features with appropriate reliability and security.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of backend engineering experience with deep hands-on Java expertise.
- Strong experience with Spring and/or Dropwizard.
- Experience designing and operating microservices architectures alongside legacy or monolithic systems.
- Experience with MySQL and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, ideally Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore, and Cloud Armor.
- Significant experience building AI-powered products and previous experience as a hands-on Tech Lead or Architect.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, Node, GraphQL, and the BFF pattern.
- Exposure to Flutter and Dart mobile development.
- Experience setting up a new team or product from scratch.
