Lead Software Engineer (Go/Clickstream)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Singapore office (One-North), Singapore

What you will do

• Own the architecture and roadmap of the Scribe backend, including ingestion gateways, event-lifecycle services, streaming pipelines, data lakes, and platform APIs.
• Lead Project MEGA, including typed event specifications, producer-side validation, CI guardrails, and migration of legacy events.
• Design the governed clickstream data layer and event vocabulary supporting funnel analytics and user-understanding use cases.
• Drive platform cost efficiency through event lineage, retention policies, gateway right-sizing, chargeback, and legacy stream retirement.
• Lead RFCs, cross-team technical decisions, operational reviews, incident response, and reliability practices.
• Mentor senior engineers and interns while growing future technical leads.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership or architecture for a platform used by many teams.
• Proficiency in Go or willingness to learn it, with hands-on experience in Python or Scala.
• Experience building large-scale backend and streaming systems with high-load, low-latency, reliability, and cost-efficiency requirements.
• Experience defining and enforcing data contracts or schemas across multiple producer teams, including versioning, migration, and deprecation.
• Experience owning AWS cloud costs for a large data platform, including attribution, retention, right-sizing, and measured savings.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Iceberg, or Delta Lake.
• Experience applying LLM agents to code migration, MCP servers, evaluations, or guardrails.
• Experience with mobile analytics instrumentation or clickstream analytics platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
