Sr. Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Singapore; at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate scalable data platforms, pipelines, APIs, integrations, and backend services for digital marketing and customer engagement solutions.
• Build secure, resilient, observable systems for real-time, streaming, and batch processing workloads.
• Develop GenAI-powered applications, AI agents, and intelligent workflows using retrieval, tool calling, orchestration, memory, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Integrate enterprise systems, APIs, data sources, and AI platforms using interoperability standards such as MCP.
• Implement AI governance, security controls, guardrails, monitoring, telemetry, and evaluation frameworks.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and coding agents across design, development, testing, debugging, code review, and documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages, with experience in scalable data platforms, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, Kafka or similar streaming technologies, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and production support.
• Experience building or integrating Generative AI and LLM-powered applications, including RAG, vector search, embeddings, semantic retrieval, and context management.
• Experience with agentic AI, tool calling, workflow orchestration, AI guardrails, governance, security controls, and responsible AI practices.
• Must work from the Singapore office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Spring AI, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent AI frameworks.
• Experience with MCP, A2A communication, AgentOps, LLMOps, vector databases, knowledge graphs, enterprise search, or context engineering.
• Experience with AI and data solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in digital marketing, customer engagement, personalization, or MarTech platforms.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.
