TL;DR
Legal Counsel (AI/SaaS): Building a scalable legal function for commercial contracts, privacy, product, regulatory matters, and company strategy with an accent on enterprise negotiations, GDPR, data protection, and AI regulation. Focus on designing legal operations, translating regulatory obligations into product and operational requirements, and managing risk across Sales, Security, Product, and Engineering.

What you will do
- Review, draft, and negotiate customer agreements, including MSAs, DPAs, security provisions, and privacy terms.
- Represent in negotiations with customer legal and procurement teams and develop negotiation positions, fallback clauses, and contracting standards.
- Build scalable legal operations covering contract reviews, approvals, renewals, legal requests, templates, playbooks, and clause libraries.
- Develop and maintain standard agreements, terms and conditions, privacy policies, and other core legal documentation.
- Monitor AI, privacy, employment, data protection, and technology regulations and translate obligations into practical product and operational requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Leadership, Security, Product, and Engineering on contractual commitments, product controls, deployment requirements, and legal risk.
Requirements
- Qualification as legal counsel in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, ideally with large enterprise customers.
- Strong experience in technology, SaaS, data, privacy, or related commercial legal matters.
- Practical understanding of GDPR, data protection, and the regulatory environment surrounding technology and AI.
- Ability to distinguish material legal and commercial risks from theoretical concerns and explain legal issues clearly to non-lawyers.
- Ability to work independently and build structure where little currently exists.

- Experience with AI regulation, employment technology, or enterprise software.
