AI Reasoning Analyst (Charts & Data)

What you will do

• Create challenging questions based on charts, graphs, maps, diagrams, and other data visualizations.
• Analyze visualizations with multiple axes, dense legends, overlapping series, and technical data.
• Determine a definitive answer and write a clear, step-by-step solution.
• Test questions and charts against AI models, identify failures, and refine tasks until the model makes an error.
• Capture the model failure together with the verified answer and reasoning.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Background in a quantitative field such as engineering, economics, finance, architecture, biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, or materials science.
• Strong quantitative and analytical reasoning skills.
• Ability to read complex charts, graphs, diagrams, and maps.
• Clear written English and the ability to explain reasoning step by step.
• Precision, attention to detail, and comfort using AI chat tools and iterating on prompts; no coding or machine-learning background is required.

Nice to have

• Access to complex charts or figures from coursework, research, or professional work.
• Experience with data analysis, technical writing, tutoring, peer review, or AI/data work.
• Deep familiarity with visualization-rich domains such as financial markets, materials science, or GIS.
