Senior Python Developer (Python)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; hybrid working environment

Salary: AUD 130,000–155,000 per annum plus superannuation

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate internal platforms with third-party systems and services.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data specialists to deliver new features.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions through code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and application performance optimization.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Python experience, including Django or FastAPI.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and software engineering best practices.
