Manager 3, Product Security

Location: Mountain View, California or San Diego, California

Base pay: $255,000–$345,000 in Mountain View or $240,000–$324,500 in San Diego.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow security engineers at staff, senior staff, and principal levels.
• Own the delivery and quality of security reviews, design consultations, exception processing, and risk evaluations across the hirify.global ecosystem.
• Rebuild product security workflows around automation, agents, structured artifacts, and continuous oversight.
• Define security baselines and controls, and partner with platform teams to embed them into engineering paths.
• Raise security standards for AI and agentic systems, including MCP, agent authorization, and agentic identity.
• Manage program metrics such as coverage, cycle time, and control adoption, while advising business and engineering leaders on risk.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and leading high-performing security engineering teams, including senior and principal-level individual contributors.
• Deep expertise in application security, secure design reviews, threat modeling, and cloud security across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Experience transforming security programs through automation, review tooling, policy-as-code, or AI-assisted triage and analysis.
• Experience defining security standards, baselines, or control frameworks and driving adoption across large engineering organizations.
• Strong understanding of modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and upstream security integration.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience, 8+ years in security engineering, application security, or product security, and 3+ years of leadership experience.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AI/ML and agentic systems, including LLM integrations, MCP, and agent authorization models.
• Security automation or software development experience with Python or Go.
• Experience managing consult and exception or risk-acceptance processes at ecosystem scale.
• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification.
