Senior Manager, Application Security (AI/ML)

Location: Full-time onsite at hirify.global headquarters in American Fork, Utah, United States

hirify.global develops AI-driven physical security and intelligent site technology, combining solar-powered field units with a cloud platform, video analytics, and license plate recognition.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor the application security engineering team, hire 1–2 additional security engineers, and launch a cross-functional Security Champions program.
• Own product security architecture and standards across the multi-tenant cloud platform, APIs, mobile clients, computer vision pipelines, and edge firmware.
• Partner with product and engineering teams on security planning, threat modeling, tenant isolation, and prioritized remediation.
• Automate secure SDLC controls in CI/CD, including SAST, SCA, secrets detection, and infrastructure-as-code policies.
• Strengthen device boot security, signed OTA updates, edge credential management, AI/ML security, and physical attack-surface defenses.
• Oversee vulnerability intake, coordinated disclosure, product security incidents, telemetry, and compliance evidence for SOC 2, GovRAMP, FedRAMP, and CJIS.

Requirements

• 10+ years of application or product security experience, including significant hands-on engineering experience.
• 4+ years as a people manager or formal technical lead.
• Deep experience with multi-tenant authorization, zero-trust architecture, and API security at scale.
• Fluency in at least one relevant language, such as Python, Go, TypeScript/Node, or C/C++, with the ability to build automation and CI integrations.
• Experience or strong capability in hardware, firmware, IoT, embedded platforms, hardware security modules, or OTA update validation.
• Must be based onsite at the American Fork, Utah headquarters and authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with video streaming, computer vision, or physical safety products.
• Hands-on experience in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, GovRAMP, StateRAMP, or CJIS.
• Experience scaling a Security Champions program or running a vulnerability disclosure program or bug bounty.
