AI Engineer Intern

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States; onsite internship

What you will do

• Design, code, maintain, and optimize complex SQL stored procedures, functions, tables, and indexes.
• Create SSIS packages for data transformation, cleansing, caching, aggregation, staging, and transfer.
• Troubleshoot database performance, replication, operational, and production-load issues with other engineers.
• Analyze data, profile datasets, define data flows, and prepare system documentation and operating manuals.
• Define and execute data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality.
• Review SQL code, implement enhancements and bug fixes, and maintain reusable development standards.

Requirements

• Ability to work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and functional and technical specifications.
• Experience or demonstrated ability with SQL development, stored procedures, database performance tuning, and data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot database environments and support production data loads and refreshes.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Diego headquarters.
• Successful completion of a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening is required.
